Message from the Chair
You will be happy to learn that we
have received the results of the chemical trace analysis study of
the building conducted by the firm Ninyo & Moore. After
performing three kinds of tests capable of detecting thousands of chemicals
Ninyo & Moore found no traces of chemicals at levels in the building to
be a cause for concern.
The Literature Building Committee, comprised of committee chair Roddey Reid, Sören Fröhlich, Nancy Ho-Wu, Stephanie Jed, Debbie Morrow-Yu, Beatrice Pita, and Meg Wesling, has reviewed and discussed the full report (13 pages of analysis + 140 pages of raw data) with Professor Dan Donoghue, who is the recent chair of the Academic Senate and a UCSD biochemist who works on the molecular causes of cancer, and has accepted the Report's findings…
