LTGM 101 - GERMAN STUDIES II: NATIONAL IDENTITIES
What does it mean to be German? How has the nation been defined in the past? In this class we will explore constructions of German national identity from the emergence of national consciousness in the early modern period to today’s multi-cultural Germany. Readings and class discussions of literary works, films, and essays will be in German. Prerequisite: completion of German 2C or the equivalent. Please contact the instructor if you have questions.
